  • For a Firkin franchise, this place exceeds expectations. The bar staff are very good.. attentive and create an authentic pub atmosphere. The have accumulated a devoted group of regulars, which given the nondescript location (Woodbine just north of Steeles in a commercial mall) tells me that there is something coming back for. Food is better than expected (steak sandwich has an ample sirloin) and the burgers are fresh. But...why the frozen fries guys? 20 beers on tap, though nothing outside the usual line-up. Music is good and varied. There is a curious living room set-up just inside the door which I suspect could be better utilized as tables. Patio is large but overlooks a parking lot. You come here for lunch and a pint... not sure if they have live music at night, but if not, can't really see a complelling reason to hang around.
