| - I tried to make an appointment with Maria who never confirmed my appointment then called to bitch at me for missing my appointment. The next year, my son had a seizure and crappy Southern Hills Hospital refers him to Dr. Milford so I gave them another chance. Maria still worked there so it was a disaster.
Maria tells me to bring my son in the same day within 15 minutes. We get there in 10 minutes, Maria is at lunch. The person filling in tells us to come back at 2 p.m. after lunch! I'm livid but a seizure is serious so we come back at 2 then we are kept waiting over an hour before we see the doctor.
I'm furious but give the doctor a chance. Dr. Milford seems to really be listening and to care. However, I'm really irritated again since my husband has to wait in the lobby they claim the examining rooms are too small. Examining room is huge.
Doc immediately says it has to be Epilepsy-without any tests or anything. Now I'm more concerned. You spent 5 minutes with a patient without getting records from previous doctors but I give him a chance.
The next day, my son has an EEG and I'm told that I have to wait in the lobby because the room is too small! More BS. They order MRI and blood work which we get done ASAP. They prescribe meds for my son which he has severe reactions to and I can NEVER get them on the phone, never get an answering service, nada! They told my son he could work a modified work schedule, give him a letter and don't specify the modifications!
A month later, I get an answering service and the doctor REFUSES to take the call! I get a lady that works there instead. Keep in mind this doctor has already ran up THOUSANDS ON MY INSURANCE and can't be bothered to talk to me about a potential life and death situation! Very irresponsible and uncaring. This guy has plaques posted in his office about him being a compassionate doctor!
I have to call at least 5 more times due to reactions to medications and same scenario. Lady in office claims I never called. Again I'm furious.
Then I get a call from the lab informing me of a problem on the MRI and needing a second one as soon as possible. I get home from work, hear the message and call their office 3 times before the answering service answers. The nitwit on the phone tells me, "It's after hours, call back Monday." I explain the gravity of the situation, she tells me the doctor won't take calls after hours. I aggressively insist on talking to the doctor. I get some other woman in the office who says she has no idea what I'm talking about then asks why he missed an appointment. I told both of us had to miss work to make that appointment and you don't even answer the phone, return calls or give test results. Don't chew me out for missing an appointment when I know from experience it will take all day. She claims she will check on it Monday. They don't care, they already charged the max on our insurance.
Answering service calls me back, gets doctor on phone and he's the rudest doctor I've ever spoken to and I'm wondering if he has multiple personality disorder because he sure didn't talk to me like this in person. He asked what I wanted and scolded me for calling after 9 pm on a Friday! Then told me to take my son to the ER! I said look, you're the one who ordered a 2nd MRI! He then told me, "I see alot of patients, I don't remember your son." Wow! I'm really pissed since you can die of a seizure and this guy has ordered multiple tests, never gave results, won't talk to me on the phone during office hours either! You can't even leave a message most of the time and if you do they never return the call anyway!
I read him the riot act and suddenly he's able to find test results and tells me all tests are normal. Why don't I believe him?
