| - I'm still trying to figure out if this is fast food. I suppose that technically the quick answer is yes, since you do go up and order your food and get a number. But the dining area looks more like a normal restaurant, complete with a bar and high top tables. And more people seemed to be hanging out there having a leisurely meal compared to those picking stuff up to go.
I appreciate that they have some "healthy" options and provide the nutritional content of these items (although to really be healthy you should only eat about half of the portion). While it was comforting to know that we could eat healthy there if we wanted to, my friend and I of course shared the nachos with chicken and the big burrito, which were not "lite" in any way, shape, or form.
I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the nachos and burrito. I'm pretty picky about chicken, especially fast food chicken, and theirs was actually pretty good. It tasted fresh and had a nice normal texture, unlike at, say, Chipotle. I liked the little chips and salsa bar too.
I just have one suggestion for Blue Burrito: get rid of the styrofoam, especially for dine-in.
