  • Great masseuse; terrible room. My wife and I booked a couples massage during our stay at the Golden Nugget. The room for the massage was not only adjacent to the men's whirlpool/sauna/steam room area but it also had a door connecting the two. For the entire length of the massage, all we could hear was laughing, yelling, and swearing from inside the men's locker room. At one point during the massage a guy opened up the door to our massage room and looked in. The masseuses were fantastic and apologized for the noise. One said the staff from the desk is supposed to ask rowdy people to keep the noise down in the massage area, but, clearly that didn't happen. When I went to the desk to pay for the service, I intended to bring up how terrible the noise was. As I stood at the desk, the two women working were too busy gossiping about coworkers and talking about how much they both do not like the people they work with to really pay attention to me. If you are looking for a relaxing spa experience; look elsewhere.
