  • Decided to have a staycation here with my boyfriend, booked through Groupon at a great rate, and also snagged a couples massage through Groupon. As we arrived at the hotel, we saw a sign for valet... but no attendant in sight so we unloaded our car parked it then proceeded to check in. I had booked a one bedroom, with a king size bed, but the woman at the front said " there aren't anymore of those rooms, we are going to upgrade you to two beds with a view".... that "upgrade" was two queen beds.. a little awkward and we didn't really feel properly accommodated. Other than that our room was clean, cold air conditioning, soft fluffy sheets. We didn't get a chance to use the room service but there was quite a big selection to choose from, and the food from the bar (the nachos) were really delicious. Also I had THE BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had here! As for the Amethyst Spa, wow great experience! Our couples massage ended up being in two separate rooms due to "electrical issues" which ended up being fine, my masseuse Ashley did an amazing job, best massage I've ever had. Overall I felt the staff could have been a little bit more accommodating over the mix up with beds but the food, drinks and view from the resort were well worth the price.
