| - Superior Catering was used at Diner En Blanc Las Vegas 2018. I preordered the most expensive menu at $95.00 for two and an additional $30 for a bottle of wine. Diner En Blanc markets this as an elegant event and has strict rules for attendees for white attire, table/linen/chairs all white. They couldn't stress enough through social media and attendee emails the whole impressive ambiance of the event. So my expectations for the food by Superior Catering was high. The reason for this review is not for the lack of freshness of the food. It is for the packaging, presentation and quality. The entire arugula salad for two had 3 slices of beets, was that just for color? Lots of grapes but only a couple dried fruit pieces. Two types of cubed cheese, cheddar and pepper jack. Not even an Artisan Cheese selection? All this was packaged in clear clam shell containers like you would use at a self serve salad bar in the grocery store. The dressings and dessert sauces in small condiment containers like you get salsa at the salsa bar at Roberto's. I would expect this at a family picnic in the park but for Diner En Blanc? I was in the industry. There are so many stylish and elegant disposable containers that are available on the market. Diner En Blanc represented class, elegance and glamour and I am paying for food served in clam shell containers? I was very surprised and disappointed at this price point, this was what was offered. As I walked around and looked at how creative people were with their table decor using twinkle lights, live birds, feathers, beads, candlesticks and then you see stacks of clam shell containers on their table. This was my first time to attend Diner En Blanc. All the kudos go to Diner En Blanc it was a well coordinated event. Sadly the food, which was through an outside company, diminished the tone.
