I went into Best Buy on Sunday. All I needed was some help. Help with a WI FI amplifier. To Strengthen the wireless signal in the house. I asked one salesperson, they directed me to stand in line for 20 minutes before I could ask the Geek squad. When my turn came, the Geek didn't know -----. He then re directed me to the mobile phone department who tried to sell me a "Mobile phone" hot spot.
Feeling lost, I wandered around for another 20 minutes trying to find the solution. Then I noticed an employee wearing the badge "Manager" standing by a register. I asked if he could help me brainstorm, he replied no! He then stated I would have to wait for an available salesperson..... UUUGGGHHH!!!!
I finally googled it myself on one of their display computers. I found Cisco makes a
Linksys RE1000 Wireless-N Range Extender. Guess what? 2 hours into my store visit, I had to find it myself and then search their own website to convince the store employees that they stocked the items. I finally found them, purchased two and left.
Weak customer skills and poor training.
