  • Hmmm, how do you review a storage facility? Restaurants, movies and games, tangible items; easy as pie. But here there's no food to critique, atmosphere isn't a priority, and functionality is king. So we're left with the basics. The place was clean, inside and out. The unit itself was spotless and odorless. The climate controlled unit was cool and dry, which is ideal for my mountains of books and papers. Security seemed tight, with multiple personalized codes needed to gain entry to our building. Once inside, each unit is secured with a special padlock which must be purchased on-site if you don't already have one. The lock isn't cheap -twenty or so bucks-, but it's very high quality and yours to keep. There are cameras throughout the lot, always recording and sending video to be saved digitally. We are very pleased. Size and price are true to the advertisement. Be prepared to pay an administrative fee and a lock fee (again, if you don't already have one from a previous Public Storage facility). There is also a mandatory insurance fee, the cheapest of which is $11.00 per month. After everything, my first month's payment came to around $75.00, but next month will be super sweet at a measly $22.00. Totally worth it as far as I'm concerned. Finally, the staff. We were taken care of by Kash, who was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of our questions with confidence, did everything she could to help us save money, was incredibly friendly, and got us in and out in under half an hour. I normally hate doing stuff like this because it makes me anxious, but she made the whole thing painless and dare I say, a little fun? So what do you want in a storage facility? Cleanliness, security, fair pricing, and friendly staff. Anything less is unacceptable and anything more is superfluous. Except maybe bacon; bacon makes everything better.
