| - The Golden Tiki is way cool! A larger tiki bar than Frankie's with a completely different atmosphere. It's hard to compare the two as the only thing they really have in common is the tiki bar theme (and even that's done differently!). As you walk up to Golden Tiki, there are some masks outside so you know you're in the right place. Walking in is like stepping into a cave, complete with "Yo ho, Yo ho, a Pirate's Life for Me!" playing and a fog machine. It's really cute.
When you're out of that room, you step into the bar itself, a huge room with a very large bar in the center. Immediately to the left are a few booths, straight ahead are some high tops across from the bar itself, and then once you go past the bar & band stage, you'll get to a back room which even has a pirate ship in it (and a shell seat, similar to the seats on the Little Mermaid ride at Disney World, but ya know... not moving & without the Little Mermaid songs to guide you along). Surrounding the pirate ship are more seats against the wall, but no where really to sit across from someone if you're back there (which I find a bit odd, but whatever). We grabbed a high top under the painting of the pirate with his bare booty hanging out. The table was decorated with photos of sailors and pirates and other nautical pictures. Also in the back is a small hallway full of "Oddities" which is where you'll find the bathrooms. I didn't really look through the Oddities, but I think next time I'll pay more attention.
The drinks are delicious, though not as strong as at Frankie's. They're still delicious though, and there are different options. All the drinks I tried were delicious!
I'll definitely be back soon!
