Rude service would be ok if the baked goods were exceptional. High prices would be ok if the baked goods were a taste of Italy. Has anyone who works at this bakery tasted a cannoli in Sicily or a sfogliatella in Naples? Has anyone who gave this high-priced tourist trap four or five stars ever been to a pastry shop anywhere in the south of Italy?
The $1.75 each mini cannoli were meh. Cannoli filled with chocolate chips and ricotta? Not in Sicily, paesano. The sfogliatelle were filled with grainy, lumpy gloop that was supposed to be delicate pastry cream. The sfogliatelle we bought were tough and chewy not light and crispy. The food of Neapolitan aristocracy sold in this bakery is little more than an insult to Napoletani who've made these pastries famous.
