| - Absolutely best Mediterranean restaurant in AZ so far. The food is excellent, prepared well, authentic and very flavorful. The ladies that own it are welcoming, lively, funny and you feel like you are a guest in their home. I asked them to open a second location in Chandler-Gilbert area, but they said they couldn't, my heart broke a little. I will keep asking. The location is in an unassuming plaza, a little restaurant tucked in the middle. It gets busy and full quickly, especially at prime times. Someone tell the owners to make a second location. We drive like an hour each way, if not more.
I grew up around Middle Eastern food, so I know my way around various versions of the popular dishes and this place is truly delicious. My husband and I go only a few times a year, because it is so far from us, but we love the food. I kinda feel like giving a bad review to deter new customers.
We get the large combo platters(either #1 or #2)for 2, for dinner. It is a ton of food. We might make it halfway, and have the rest for leftovers, which is still delicious. The rice and meats are awesome!
We got the Eden's Combination Appetizer Platter to share last visit.
It has; Dolmeh, Homous, Bab Ganoosh and Yogurt Cucumber Dip. I really wish it included falafel. I didn't love the yogurt dip.
* Update: We went last weekend on Saturday night, with another couple and the yogurt dip was good again and had lots of fresh herbs. The rice however wasn't as flavorful or toasty at all as previously tasted, super bummed. The chicken tasted well marinated but different than before. I prefer how it used to taste more grilled or smoky. The ground beef kabobs and gyro were excellent as always. Huge dinner portions, you definitely get more than you pay for!
Baklava is the best here, most authentic made with real butter. You can absolutely taste the difference. #baklavabomb
If you are looking for more budget friendly options, go for lunch. They have lunch specials and smaller plates(still good size portions) at very reasonable prices. My husband gets the Gyro lunch special and I will get that or a salad. We are gyro snobs, but these are super good. They have plenty of tasty vegetarian dishes too, which is great.
