  • This is such a rip off! We paid $2,500 and saw NO results. The director, Tina Howard is an excellent con artist who sold us on a program that would "guarantee" results. Our son went twice a week for 4 months with no improvement. He comes home with 100% on everything, but is still receiving a low grade in the subject he is being tutored in. He tells us he is bored and not being taught or challenged what so ever. Tina never made contact with his school or teachers and only had one conference because I insisted on it. Tina makes excuse after excuse for why she is not following up or having any teacher communication. When we decided to sign up with Sylvan, we were sold on promises that were never met with this director. Finally, we chose to take him out 16 sessions early, which equals around $770, because the entire process and department is a joke. Our school also warned up about Sylvan and their lack of contact and care for the children there. We are sick about the waste of money and time we put into this terrible company.
