  • I wish I could give this show 0 stars! Oh where to start? I went to the show with a group of friends who came of age in the 80's and we were psyched! We were happily singing along to the 80's tunes. About 1/4 of the way through the first half of the show, a couple came in late and sat down beside us. The woman was enthusiastic and was dancing, etc during the songs also. The group in front of her were a group of stone faced, boring types who made you wonder why on earth they chose this show to come to in the first place. They made several rude comments to the stranger setting beside me telling her she needed to quit singing. We just kept on trying to enjoy the show. At intermission, the management, Julie-Goette-Seville came up to the couple beside us and thinking we were all together, told us we were disturbing the show. After trying to explain to her what was going on, and that we were not even with the couple they actually complained on, it became clear that the family in front of the stranger beside me, was the family of one of the actors, and as such, apparently got some special treatment. In an attempt to keep the peace and salvage our night we asked if we could move farther back so that we could enjoy the show and leave the stick in the mud group alone. At first we were told yes, but then after we were seated she (Julie) changed her mind and told us we needed to leave the show! We were told we could not get our money back since it was 1/2 way through the show. The "family" in front of us were rude and confrontational with us. We weren't allowed to say anything back. It was like they were celebrities and we were just the people who paid hundreds of dollars to see this show! At one point, a friend with us tossed his water bottle on the ground out of sheer frustration (we were being bullied!) and Julie and one of the security guards started saying he threw a beer bottle down and we had to leave. He does not even drink and literally just tossed the bottle to the ground. It was blown way, way out of proportion. We had several different groups of strangers come up to us and tell us this was ridiculous, that we were doing nothing wrong! This included the family setting directly in front of our group and the ones directly behind us! (Not the "I'm with the band so I'm special family, a different group). I can't believe how rudely we were treated! I can't believe they refused to even refund us! I will be complaining to anyone who will listen. STAY AWAY! RUDE management with a bit of a Star complex. How unfortunate that one group of people who probably didn't even pay to get in the show ruined for us, a group of 8 who paid a lot of $$ to get in. I will never go to another show at the Venetian and will try to convince other people of the same. Save your $. Don't do it.
