  • I can't believe this is a McDonald's. Well, okay, it's not technically THE McDonald's we've lived with for decades - in fact, it's very different - but the whole McCafé concept takes McDonald's to another level, and overall, it's excellent. Located in the heart of the PATH, this particular McCafé is located in First Canadian Place, just before you reach the area that approaches the Exchange Tower (just west of the Longo's). There are self-service kiosks that are super easy and quick to use, and overall, this spot seems so much more efficient than the McDonald's we're used to (after you order at the kiosk, you get a customer number, and they call you once your order is ready). It's a lot cleaner, calmer, and trendier-looking than what we've come to expect. You feel comfortable here. In terms of food, they have a wide array of drink options (hot and cold), a pretty good assortment of pastries and muffins that are decently fresh. I've had the Mocha Latte from this location in particular and, overall, no complaints - it's served super hot, of decent quality, with a smile, and service is very efficient (there are even TVs by the kitchen showing which Customer Number they are serving). Overall, this is a great café to do work, meet coworkers, grab a quick snack. It serves its purpose, and they've set this place up very well. Will definitely be coming by often as I walk through the PATH!
