  • Great cook: we had a really nice time at Hayashi on Bell. I would have liked to have rated them higher, but...we had a reservation and were greeted and seated immediately at an open hibachi table. Our waiter, Joey was brand new (first day) but did an excellent job taking care of us. He was prompt and courteous. Our cook, Hector, was also very nice, had very good skills with his utensils and quite funny. His jokes were new to me and the routine was the usual, but very well performed. The food was very fresh and the scallops and calamari steak were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately Hector went way to heavy on the salt and pepper and that overpowered the meal and left us all very thirsty. Fix that and I would have given them 5 stars.
