This is a great sport for casual and competitive play. All the players here are very friendly and very welcoming to new players, so they'll take it easy on you and help you out with the rules. I've played NDO open gym and league for more than 2 years and I've made a ton of new friends. During my time I've seen the league grow from just 6 teams all the way up to 12 teams. There are new people joining every day.
The NDO owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They are very professional when it comes to running the league. Both the owners and the refs are great at keeping the games running smoothly and calling out anyone who tries to cheat.
They also make sure everyone is treated respectfully and they help keep any player "drama" to a minimum.
Oh, and you get a ton of good stuff/promos/swag for playing. Open gym is free the first time. Open gym is free on your birthday. If you join league you get to play in 8 to 10 Tuesday night games plus the playoffs, you get a free NDO T-shirt, and free food at the award's ceremony ... and the award's ceremonies are blast to go. Tons of awards are handed out, many of which are hand made by the players themselves. Also, almost every game gets filmed and uploaded to youtube for later viewing.
Awesome game and awesome group of people.
