  • I am a big fan of all the Phoenix Coffees around town, but in particular the E. 9th location, because it's near my office, the people who work here are really friendly and provide me with caffeine almost every morning, and really, what more do you need? I typically don't grab a table to hang out here because I tend to pop in minutes before my workday starts, but there is ample seating and is apparently a hangout for bike messengers, business-meeting-types, and others. This cafe doesn't have the food selection that many other Phoenix locations seem to have, but if you're looking for a quick pastry or bagel they usually have a decent spread to choose from. And it does have the same selection of coffees, teas, and froofy drinks as the other locations. Right now they've got a lavender lemonade on the menu I'm itching to try. It tends to be busy during the a.m. and lunch rushes, but turnaround is quick and efficient.
