I lived there for 3 years. Initially it was a nice place but starting from 2009 it went downhill quickly. There are frequent break-ins and there are police cars all the time. One night I saw helicopters above the apartment looking for criminals at 2 am. Even a few days before I moved out, a police officer came to me when I was about to get back into my apartment and told me to be careful, because there was another new break-in.
The staff are generally nice but the manager Vivian is rude. We recommended 2 people to move in to this place and it took them forever to give us the reward for the recommendation. After 3 months we went to talk to the manager and the paperwork was sitting right there at the corner with some piled up mess.
The gate is opened during the day so anyone can come in. It is not as safe as before because they turned it into a section 8 community.
Moving out was painful. The day I moved out I asked for a walk-through, prepared to get ripped off after reading all the helpful reviews. The staff told me that only the manager could do a walk-through and she was not there. So I had to leave and after a month I got a bill for $500. Not only that I cannot get my $150 deposit back, they are charging me whole carpet, full paint and cleaning and vinyl replacement. There was already a flooding problem when we moved in and that was why the vinyl flooring worn out after 3 years and they blamed it on the residents. We are very disappointed at this place because we have always been very responsible, pay rent on time and kept the place clean. Like everybody said, they turn ugly once the resident move out and will try all ways to take your money away. Don't move in, otherwise you will leave with a crazy bill!
