| - This is my favourite hotel out of the 5 or 6 I've stayed at in Montreal. The service is the best, the beds are the comfiest - the sheets are so soft, the pillows are so fluffy, and the mattress itself feels like a cloud - and everything about it screams luxury.
They no longer seem to offer yoga mats in the rooms unless it's asked for, unfortunately, but it's not a huge deal. Also, I wish they'd be more consistent about putting a tealight candle in the room - but again, it's not a deal breaker.
I will say though, that I once got placed in a "corner room" which I assumed was an upgrade but was actually the opposite, because there was no bath tub. But other than that, I've only ever had very positive experiences here.
They include a nice little treat for turndown service, and the staff in the restaurant, Le Renoir, are the best. At one point last year they were giving out breakfast vouchers as a promotion and the breakfasts were just incredible (though the croissants were soft instead of crunchy - maybe they were a day old?).
This is my preferred hotel in the city and it's like coming home every time.
