  • Let me start by saying, I am a customer service trainer for an important company. Now I don't know who the person was that helped us but it started with a J not sure if it was a Josh or Joel but he had glasses. We walked in and there was no greeting, we had to start the conversation. Instead of " Hello how are you?" It was "What's your price range" so I said that I was looking to spend 250 to 300. This jerks response was "Not going to happen" I was shocked for so many reasons. I am almost certain that if my girlfriend and me weren't drenched in sweat from moving all day we would have been treated with respect. Two sweaty Hispanics, I guess didn't deserve options or friendly customer service. DISCRIMINATION at its finest. Now when you are in sales or customer service you know that if you can't help the customer you EMPATHIZE and let them know what you CAN do. You provide OPTIONS! Allow me to school Brooklyn Bedding on customer service. "Hello, how are you today? I hope the day has treated you well. You look hot, would you like some water? Unfortunately, we don't have any beds in that price range at this time. This may change in the future but right now I'm sorry to say we do not have any. I would recommend trying Walmart or checking online for the best prices that may meet your budget today. So I highly recommend passing on Brooklyn Bedding, unless you're white. I recommend visiting MATTRESS MEN on 24th st and Indian school. The minute my girlfriend and I walked in we were greeted with a hello and asked if we needed water, the sales associate was knowledgeable and extremely nice. We spent 400 on a queen bed which was over our budget but we felt wanted, our business was appreciated. Just because we had a budget did not mean we didn't have money. Visit MATTRESS MEN, regardless of your color you will be providing amazing service. I will be taking this issue to corporate.
