  • I wish I had read the reviews prior to hiring this company to fix my ac unit. The trane ac unit was purchased 5 years ago with zero problems. I had Parker and sons come out to service it. Nothing was amiss and we went back east for a month. When we get home the unit is not working so I had them come out to fix it. It was a fan motor which was under warranty but they wanted 442.00 get to install it. Yep about 60 minutes labor however the $450 replacement fee ...after a 20% discount) seemed a bit overpriced. However with the 108 temp there was No choice to call some one else so I paid. I also updated another part to use less voltage to start the A/C up as the tech suggested...and the original quote was over 1000 bucks a turbo starter I thought it over and wasn't going to do the upgrade,and then he offered 20% made me" go for it". Another 650. Now that I did more research this part at Home Depot is only 70! SCAMMERS I wonder if I had bulked if things might have gotten more reasonable...the whole process was less than 1 hour and Unless You have technical knowledge You are at the mercy of these voltures. They are unethical! Maybe if Melvin had been My tech?
