| - Colorful decor, cartoons and kid jams playing and enthusiastic workers. We went here for the first time on a Tuesday at 10:30 and there was no wait. Savannah, the lovely woman who cut my 2-yr-old son's hair was friendly, gentle and wonderful with him and asked questions to ensure that the haircut was what we envisioned. His hair consists of very tight, condensed curls and she hand-sheared all but the buzz around the edges.
To be honest, the final product was not what we were hoping for (wanted slightly longer on the top than back and sides and ended up super short all around and uneven edging) but the customer service was wonderful. Luckily, our kiddo's hair grows quite fast.
Unlike Cool Cuts for kids, there are basic chairs instead of trains/trucks, etc. but they have a buckle for the young kiddos. There is a Snip Its made cartoon video that plays at each station. It was pretty challenging to see and I may bring our iPad for a distraction video next time. Each child is given a card to cash in after their cut for a small prize (we got a sticky slap hand). There is also a train table for kids to play on while you wait.
We used a 1st timer coupon-found on the website-for a $12 cut and on our receipt was another coupon for our next cut. You are able to tip when you sign the receipt. We found the prices reasonable, the workers friendly and great with kids and the shop clean and kid-tastic. Unfortunately, hubby took one look at our son's hair when we got home and said we won't be back. If your child does not have super curly or ethnic hair, this place may be a better fit for you.
