| - I was looking to try a new facial person just to see what was out there for a change. Groupon had a great deal so I bought one. Right away it was challenging to get an appointment, but finally I got in 2 months later.
I Arrived on time to her new location. She was about 10 min. Late coming out to get me. The place looks to be under renovation. For example, you lay on the table and look at electrical wires hanging from the ceiling, the floors are ripped up etc...not very relaxing. We had a quick chat about how she determines who she keeps as clients and who she doesn't, by making it hard to book..or giving back money to people who have bought her packages whom she doesn't like as customers... strange conversation. From that point on, she basically gave only yes or no answers to a couple of questions, it was ackward, so I just shut up. The 60 minute "facial" consisted of her applying lotion after lotion and hot towels. No steaming, no extractions, she never even looked at my face. Just low lighting, and gobs of liquids being applied. No conversation.
She gave a nice hand, and upper back rub. I was surprised when she finished so quickly. My appointment was for 1 pm, she took me in at 1:10, and she finished by 1:55. I tipped her generously, as I do all groupon businesses I visit. I would have given less if I would have seen the time, and that she gave a 45 minute instead of 60 minute facial.
To put it bluntly, this experience was Not impressive. Deb made me miss my incredible therapist, who is a true professional. After reading the reviews, which I relied on to make the decision to purchase her service, I would reccomend Deb stick with waxing, as she clearly does not know how to administer a proper facial.
