  • I came here on a recommendation after having a terrible haircut experience elsewhere. I could not have had a better experience! From the minute I walked into the salon, I was impressed with how at home I felt. The purple walls were inviting and fun without crossing the line into being tacky or boring. I loved every detail of the salon, right down to the music being played. I have very dark, very thick hair, so when I asked Kathleen to update my ombre I was a little nervous. I had heard nothing but good things about her so I but my faith in her and was not disappointed. She gave me the ombre I wish I could have had all along. I had previously been told by other stylists that since my hair was naturally so dark, I couldn't go any lighter than the slightly brassy caramel color I had. They were wrong! In Kathleen's experienced hands, my hair melted from dark brown to caramel to a light sandy blonde that I couldn't be more thrilled with. She re-trimmed my hair and evened out all of the ends that had been butchered (see my review for the hell hole that is salon cheveaux with any questions) and gave me a style that is easy to recreate but STUNNING. I will go back here again and will be having nobody color my hair but Kathleen for a long time to come. Long story short, go to the escape. Get your hair done here. It's amazing!
