AWFUL! I'll definitely be using other airlines in the future. I chose a more expensive flight, so I could fly direct. I booked my ticket 4 months in advance, and when my trip was 2 weeks away I found out my filght was changed. I didn't receive any email/letter/phone call notifying me about the change. My direct flight was taken away, and I was given a layover. I called looking for an explanation why I wasn't notified and some sort of compensation.
Since I didn't want to cancel my trip and get a refund, my only other option was to write a complaint online. I filled out a detail description of my issue and sent it off. The half-hearted response back just made me more upset. "I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced when our published schedule changed. I realize how frustrating this must have been. We implement schedule modifications for a number of reasons, including the need to adjust to market and seasonal demands. Although we are unable to guarantee departure times will not change, we understand how such modifications can impact our customers' travel plans, and we remain committed to mimimizing those inconveniences. We appreciate your business and look forward to welcoming you on borad a future United Airlines flight. Regards, Kevin Byrnes"
Seriously dude? I don't think you'll be welcoming on board any more flights.
