Quite a large supermarket with plenty of options in terms of groceries. However, we decided to give it a skip for two major reasons.
Contaminated Food: We bought a packet of rice from the place and noticed some bugs inside the packet (still sealed) after reaching home. When we went back to return it and one of the staff members directed us to the customer service counter. When we reported it, the lady just took it and processed the refund. In our earlier such experiences with other retailers - generally the staff shows an iota of concern and have a basic decency to apologize in such cases - but no such behavior from the folks here which shows how seriously they take food contamination issues.
Rude Staff: Two instances (one quoted above) of rude staff behavior was enough to cross off Highland Farms from our grocery shopping options. The bakery staff has also shown very rude behavior - if you do not have the chit in your hand (i.e. if you haven't purchased anything), they don't even look at you to see if you have any questions etc on their products.
They aren't getting my business in future for sure.
