  • We have stayed here several times for staycations and I have to say that the quality of the resort has gone down quite a bit in the last 5 years. They have added a new building but parking is a hassle all the time. They have a parking structure in the back which was luckily right next to our building. However, I would be upset if I had to park in there but have to walk up to one of the front building especially upon check in when people tend to have a dump load of stuff. The amount and variety of activities has gone down drastically. I remember they had crafts and little food events before in addition to the picture taking and craps lessons. Now all they have is the craps lesson and picture taking by the pool. Speaking of the pool, the waterfall structure has been taken down and is no longer maintained as nicely as before. The pool towels are worn and too thin. Those definitely need replacing. The heated pool was not very heated either. In our room, not much has changed but we did find quite a bit of dust bunnies in the corners of the room, a used pool towel in the laundry closet, and we had to call down for laundry detergent and toilet paper. Both are usually supplied initially. The resort fee covered "premium channels" and WiFi. It turns out their idea of premium channels is HBO but not much else. We travel with our Amazon Fire Stick so Netflix and Hulu saved the day. WiFi was slow at times which is understandable considering the amount of people and devices using it. We enjoyed being within walking distance to South Point and ate a few of our meals at their buffet and the Steak and Shake. It's a comfortable place to stay and we still enjoyed it very much. However, it's sad to see the quality of the place go down from our first stay there.
