| - Scotty is a life-saver. Normally, I wouldn't want to set such out-of-this-world expectations for a stylist as opinions typically vary on what looks "nice" for individual hair but that is the experience he delivered for me personally so... here we are.
This place is open 7 days a week, but Scotty wasn't in the Sunday I called at 9 am for a MAJOR fix the day after I had my hair done elsewhere. He answered the phone before hours anyway, but was without his schedule as he was home spending time with family. He still spent 10 minutes on the phone with me walking me through how to use their booking service and who to book with for that day to get the quickest fix at his salon. He told me to try to book there with his stylists that were in and call him back if it didn't work.
Keep in mind for this phone call, I woke up in a FURY about my atrocious hairdo from the day prior and he was dealing with a truly panicked woman here, crying nonetheless about the idea of showing face to my sales team at work the next day with my hair in the current state of disaster. He absolutely did not have to help me to begin with, and if I were him I wouldn't have wanted to.
But, like I said, he saved the day for me. The booking app didn't work in my own franticness, so I called him back immediately and he was extremely eager to come into the salon on his day off and fix me up. His DAY OFF!
He came in within the hour to meet me at the salon, he took pictures of the disaster so I could get my money back from the other place, and he was honest that he would "do his best to fix it but no promises". WOW! Check out the pictures for yourself to see how much he NAILED the fix (and the before photos when I came to him to get an idea of the feat he had in front of him) after just a few short hours in his chair! Scotty was also extremely professional, never bashing the other stylist even though he hinted that he who she was and knew of the salon's reputation of all 5 star reviews but nonstop experiences like mine from other clients that had ended up in his chair.
He was a great joy to spend time with where most stylists in my experience aren't, and had me laughing from the moment I walked in when he said "Well, you're not the biggest tragedy!" Did I mention that he charged me the same price as the stylist who screwed it up for a MAJOR color correction AND cut correction in which he should have easily charged me $100+ more? Amazing.
The vibe in the salon is great too. White walls and crisp wood features! Very clean with low-key indie rock/electronic music that Scotty hand selects for his salon playlists. You can also tell that all of the stylists/staff get along with ease and comfort. They laugh, tell stories, engage all of their clients (as long as the client seems interested in a conversation) and were willing to pick up where other's needed help. Great service, vibes, owner, staff - all around killer experience!
