  • Classic Montreal Experience, We had lunch there. One of the only places we could find open on Canada Day. They apparently never close except for Christmas Day. Thoroughly enjoyed my Reuben smoked meat sandwich. I got one that came as a platter with fries and salad. Many options for the same dish were available plus others. Portions were huge at a very reasonable price. This location is in a basement but the seating area is very pleasant with nice wood paneling, bench seating laid out booths and lots of nice stained glass lighting fixtures.Classic north american Craftsman interior from the turn of the 20th century, very enjoyable. It is a tight squeeze so don't go to the bathroom too often. They also have deli services there so you can buy the smoked meat in bulk if you want. Good Montreal experience.
