| - So if this were two years ago, I'd probably put it at one star. Why? There were birds in the vents and up on the roof right above the hot food section and bakery where a lot of baked goods are displayed, so it's possible it could get contaminated. Eww...
However, they've done some recent renovations, expanded and moved their hot food section to the back where it is constantly monitored and lo and behold, no more birds!!
I had their hot food once and it wasn't the greatest and I'd much prefer T&T or Oceans. It tasted stale (given that I bought it at 7 pm at night, but when I buy from Oceans or T&T, it taste fresh). The dim sum here is average and nothing special.
However, what I really dislike about this grocery store is how crowded it gets in the veggies section. People pushing and shoving and not saying "excuse me" or "sorry". I know this isn't the company's fault, but with cramped areas and rude people, it doesn't make it an enjoyable shopping experience. They should open up the aisles a bit more.
The only saving grace for me about this place is that it's close to a lot of Chinese restaurants and that there is a big parking lot at the back to help accommodate the high traffic.
Overall, I don't want to go here unless my mom wants me to pick her up something specifically from here. Too much hassle.
