I'm going to leave the review that I wish someone had left before we moved in. We lived at Broadstone Waterfront for just over 5 months. With 7 months remaining we broke the lease and paid a fee to leave early.
The amenities are good. The gym is two stories and full of machines. The pool area has cabanas and looks like it's straight out of Vegas. The decor and vibe in the leasing office is very attractive. The location is ideal if you enjoy that part of Scottsdale and like to be within walking distance of the action.
I have lived in apartments for the majority of my adult life and for the past three years I've been living in 'luxury' apartments. While the price is higher it's usually worth it....quieter, service is usually fast, new appliances, etc. When we moved into Broadstone we excepted much of the same. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
There is a certain amount of noise that is expected when living in apartments. Should you decide to move here know that there is no soundproofing. We could hear our neighbors cell phone alarm go off each morning. When our upstairs neighbor walked around we could hear every step he took, it sounded like he was stomping and then we realized it was just the build of the place.
The service response was also disappointing. We had a cricket issue about a month before we moved out. Everyday for a few weeks I would find a cricket somewhere in our place. While it was annoying I certainly understood that pest issues happen. What shocked me was the lack of response. We would put in a work order then someone at the office would mark it as complete and leave a note saying pest control would be stopping by next week. Pest control would then stop in, spray, and then tell me good luck.
If anyone had pretended like they cared I probably wouldn't be mentioning it. However, it's agitating when you are spending a pretty penny for rent and the response is one of apathy.
Something else to be aware of is that you will be splitting the utilities used in the common areas throughout the complex and the amount is not insignificant. There are a lot of hallways to cool and there's nothing like knowing you are helping pay for the fire pit running on 100 degree nights with no one near them.
Apartment living always has it's challenges and different aspects are important to different renters. For me there is a value expectation that comes with 'luxury' apartments and Broadstone Waterfront did not deliver.
