  • I used to eat here frequently before the summer. Had I done a review back then, it would easily have been 4 if not 5 stars. Since then another Poke restaurant opened closer to home (North Scottsdale) which is fantastic. Nevertheless, I wanted to try Poke Bar again and did so twice recently. Unfortunately both times were a let down compared to my memory of my previous visits here and to the new place I more often now go to. The first time, the rice was old and crusty. Also the dining room was unkept...dirty tables and floors. I had to go from table to table to find a clean one. I mentioned the old rice issue to the person behind the counter and they apologized but didn't offer me new rice (I don't think they had any available). The second time I came in, the rice was exactly the same, old and crusty! Also, the dining room was okay this time but the bathroom was like yikes...don't touch anything. I asked "what happened" and the employee told me that they had expanded to other locations suggesting that this location seemed to be suffering as a result. Not sure if that is the reason but it definitely is not what it used to be.
