| - After unwelcoming reception at Old Homestead, we opted to sit at the bar at Searsucker.
Living in San Diego for the last 20 years, am well acquainted with Brian Malarkey's hospitality style and it mates up VERY nicely with the Las Vegas "thang".
The entire joint was jumpin' at 6:45 pm(Happy Hour daily 5:00-7:00 pm) on 1/21/17, Heather was our mixologist/server and we were instantly happy and relaxed.
I picked the "Blueberry Ginger Smash"-Old Forester / ginger / honey / blueberry / mint($8.00)...it was tremendous, packed a punch and had great flavor. My friend had the Ballast Point beer, can't remember which flavor or how much it cost. For eats, we had the Sliders($9.00 for two/order two, you'll want it!)-chipotle / cheddar / bacon....like a chipotle aoli topping, the beef was a nice size, two/three bites, juicy and flavorful....very, very nice, will be watching in the future to see if that stays on the menu. We also got the tuna tacos ($9.00 for three) which were equally dilish!-blackend ahi / avocado/ jalapeno relish. Deep fried shell, very thin and perfectly seasoned....highly recommended.
A word about Heather.....funny, smart and on her game, she will be sure to go far by reading the signs a customer is giving and paying attention to the small details. Awesome person and Searsucker is lucky to have her!
Any Yelper in the vicinity of Caesar's should check this joint out and have a great time. My experience was virtually without any fault, get to it!
Ambiance/Cleanliness-no bs here, it was good to go from the moment we sat down!...5 stars
Service- very nice, no major problems......4 stars
Food-see above for a food review, it was very good, but not in that rarified five star experience....a well deserved....4 stars!
