I went to get a mani/pedi and they could not remove my current nail polish with there so called acetone remover. They told me it was GEL polish. I insisted it was not, as I painted my toes at home and don't own any GEL polishes. How can I remove the polish at home with 100% acetone but they insisted it was GEL and proceeded to charge me an additional $5 to remove it. They told me to check the bottle I used because sometimes it will say its GEL in fine print.
Came home and sure as shit, the Essie color AND top coat I used is NOT GEL.
Nails by Tina - RUBBING ALCOHOL AND ACETONE ARE NOT THE SAME THING. I know this because I asked to use a cotton and the so called acetone they were using. It was alcohol. Well, of course it wouldn't come off with alcohol.
It's not even about the 5 bucks....it's about the 3 workers who thought I/we were stupid and didn't know the difference between regular polish and GEL. Rude, rude people. I wish you luck if you decide to come in here.
