The Experience:
I was the Sr. Sales Manager for a moving company in Chicago about 4 years ago. When it came time to hire movers here in Phoenix, I scoured the web to find a reputable moving company. The industry is plagued with shady characters, so I was pleased when I found Creative Moving and Packing here on Yelp!.
There's no local licensing requirement in AZ that I could find, which made me nervous. So I checked their DOT information on Safersys.org and was satisfied with the information listed in their company snapshot. Having so many reviews on Yelp! was also a big help. Lastly, I checked the BBB and their A-rating was the last piece of the puzzle. I contacted their office and spoke with Conrad. He was knowledgeable and polite, and walked me through his pricing, requirements, and availability.
I had two pick-up stops and one delivery stop. First pick up was at a storage unit, the second at my current home. Then everything was delivered to my new place. Marco and Eric called me to say they were on their way, and met me exactly on time at the storage facility. They made quick work of wrapping and loading all my furniture and belongings, and within an hour we were headed to the second stop. They even offered me a bottle of water while I waited for them to prepare my households goods for loading.
At the second stop, they helped me pack up the pantry (I thought I'd have it done the night before, but I didn't get to it) and loaded the rest of my belongings. It was really nice that they could help me finish what I didn't have ready for them. They took great care to wrap my dressers, which were my grandmother's. They worked quickly and I was very pleased with the loading process.
At the new place, they protected the carpet, the door jams, and the door to be sure they didn't damage the interior while unloading. They didn't just drop and go either, they asked me where I wanted things placed. They even helped me set up my bed, which was a lifesaver for someone with a bad back. These guys were pros!
The payment was straightforward, and they left a detailed receipt on my kitchen counter. They then asked me to check the truck to be sure they didn't miss anything.
I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. The office staff was wonderful, the movers were FANTASTIC, the pricing was very clear, their equipment was in good shape, everything was EXACTLY as it should have been. I'm thoroughly pleased with my experience and will be recommending them to anyone I know needing moving services. Whether it's a 1 bedroom apartment or a 5,000 sq. ft. house, choose these guys. You won't regret it.
