| - I truly hate leaving 1 star reviews, but Netfirms practically begged for this one. I've given them every opportunity to show even the slightest concern for their customers, but I'm continually told "There's nothing we can do".
I've purchased many urls from Netfirms over the years, but have been switching over to a better company and every time I move a url over I obviously cancel with them, however they shut down my account every time the old url comes up for renewal, because their system does not recognize that I've canceled with them and continually tries to charge my old credit card on file with them.
To make matters worse, when I call them to remedy the problem they tell me they can't help me if I don't give them my old credit card number. I don't make it a habit of remembering old credit card numbers so I of course ask them to ask me for some other information to prove I am who I say I am, and every time they tell me my credit card is the only way.
They *eventually* give me access to my account again so that I can login and see the old credit card they have on file and I give it to them, and the problem is *temporarily* resolved, but I believe they intentionally make things challenging hoping customers won't leave them, instead of just being a company that people would want to stay with.
I even showed them the long list of negative online reviews and informed them that if they can't be more helpful then I will be forced to add to the list of ALL 1 star reviews.
Their response was "Unfortunately there's nothing we can do", so like I said, they practically begged for this very negative review.
I gave them every opportunity to act like a reputable company, and they continually said "Unfortunately there's nothing we can do".
You don't get this many negative reviews unless you've earned them.
