| - This Irish Pub has a great atmosphere with friendly service and great food. They serve Americanized Irish cuisine with a good bar selection, including local beer. The music was on point, and I loved the decorations, especially the reuse of old church pews as benches, the old Guinness advertising, and homey artwork. We had a seat by the fireplace which was lit on a stormy spring evening, and although it was a bit too dark to read the menu easily, we both found the meals we wanted.
For once I was not overwhelmed by the amount of food - it was reasonably portioned, and everything went together nicely. (We still took some home, but it it wasn't a big mess of food thrown together on a plate!) My husband had the fish and chips, and I had the shepherd's pie, both of which we really enjoyed. The shepherd's pie could have had a bit more seasoning, but the garlic mayo served with the chips was so good (although probably really, really bad for you). I definitely recommend this pub for anyone visiting Charlotte and looking to get a bit outside of downtown.
