I have been so incredibly impressed with Kinderbugs. My child has
been going there about 2 years so I feel that I have had the time to
really get to know the school and the owners. My son has done
extremely well at the school. We have loved his teachers and this
year especially I am in awe of her. She has this amazing ability to
really reach my son and get him interested in learning. The teachers
do assessments to ensure that children are in the proper class. It is
not always about their "age" as much as it is about their ability to
do well with the class they are in. My son was placed based on his
needs and what his abilities were- not just when his birthday was.
This ability for them to evaluate on a personal, unbiased level was a
positive point for us and really differentiates them between other
schools. I have no reservations in recommending them. The previous reviewer stated they felt the owner was money hungry and it is unfortunate that they had that impression. That has never been my
experience. In fact, I know that there were kids in the past that
were really not ready to start school and instead of just letting them
stay in the class (and distracting the other kids), the owners
encouraged those parents to wait a couple months and then try again.
So I know they won't just take any child "for the money" without it
making sense for the whole group. They are a small business and I
believe that like any other business you must have rules and
guidelines that identify your policies before you sign up for
anything. I have never, in 2 years, had the impression that the
owners were nothing other than caring individuals who want to help
educate our children. They do have several different classes which
have different ages and abilities. Overall, I have been thrilled with
the school and I have always thought their policies to be fair. I
encourage anyone interested to take a tour. I am sure you can view
all their policies ahead of time as well.
