I've been going to this club to watch concerts since the early 90s. (The actual club, where the huge pirate ship lives from back in the day when it was a seafood restaurant, not the theater that's attached.) It's like the Gothic version of Cheers, old and familiar, where everyone knows your name. The Staff is friendly, Security not so much and the drink prices are fair. Parking is abundant. Admission to concerts won't break the bank. The crowd is usually geared more towards Gothic and alt peeps, but anything goes. Never any problems.
My only gripe is that it's seriously dark in there. Like bring a flashlight dark. Some more lighting in the club would help. It's in need of a major update and more seating, but I know that some people like that musty, bat cave ambiance. Oh, and it's haunted, too.
The Chamber dance club is attached to the Phantasy all in the same building complex. Overall it's worth checking out.
