Home Warranty Users BEWARE!
Initially called out for a heating issue thru American Home Shield. Tech replaced a part and said the issue was fixed. Prior to this visit I had ZERO issues with my thermostat. Now it's broken. Heating issue still not fixed. Same tech came out the second time ran tests and noted that the wire running from the heating unit to the thermostat needs to be replaced.
He contacted AHS and scheduled a electrician to come out and replace the wire. The electrician said he can't touch the wire because it needs to be done by an HVAC tech. JT Temp then changed the work order to say that the issue with the system is not the wire, but instead it's the thermostat. Now they're unwilling to change out the wiring.
This is lazy and unacceptable. He should have changed out the wire himself when HE TOLD ME the issue was the wire. To go back and change the work order to deny my claim is WRONG. If you see JT Temperature as the tech on your Home Warranty Service call make sure you deny them and ask for another HVAC vender. This is dirty business and you should avoid this aggravation at all costs.
