| - I went to La Station des Sports bar/restaurant on a Sunday morning during Grand Prix weekend with a friend for breakfast. The location was at Fort and Ste. Catherine. It is a very large bar/restaurant with many TV and video screens broadcasting sporting events. Moreover; it appears that the terrace once located directly on the sidewalk in front of the Ste. Catherine street entrance has been moved to a more suitable backyard.
As we entered we passed the bar on our way to our table and were both hit up for cigarettes by some questionable women at the bar. Working women?? Perhaps. Neither of us smokes and considered it to be a rude welcome to the bar/restaurant.
The breakfast itself consisted of three sausages, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, beans, fruits, toast and coffee. The bread used for the toast was stale and the meal cold. The coffee, horrible! The best thing about this place was the service we received from our waitress who was quick, polite and efficient, most likely a summer student. The meal, however, left much to be desired, it cost approximately eight dollars, tip not included. Thank God the breakfast was on my friend!
