  • Have noticed over the last year...the significant price increases at Savers. I also realized only a FOR-PROFIT company can charge sales tax. My initial impression was this store was a non-profit, like Goodwill, or Salvation Army....NOPE! Check the receipts of Goodwill....no tax,ever. I have definitely changed my spending here at this store. It's overpriced, and for profit, meaning we, the consumers are actually giving this privately held for-profit company the goods it needs to operate and make a profit.....and we do it FOR FREE!!!! Needless to say...I will now be giving my donations to an ACTUAL non profit agency.
