| - Oh my!
Well first of all I'm an old soul, so anything that 60's people dig, I dig too, so my review might be a bit biased.
I LOVE old school music so needles to say I was in heaven. Let me insert an important note here: I can say for a fact I was probably one of the only people there that didn't have silver hair. I was alone and I'm 34 and I've never never felt more like "whoa I'm the youngest chick here" in my life. If you care about this, don't go. If you're like me, and are there for entertainment, keep reading.
Honestly the reviews scared me a bit but maybe those people are not a big fan of music. OR, they were actually alive when those people were on stage and could see the real artist and didn't think the show was a fair representation. Me, what do I know. Born in 83, most of them were dead by the time I reached fair understanding of what's a good singer.
Anyways, boy, I loved it! My nights layout was George Michael (I don't think I could have sang along Careless Whisper louder than I did over here), Frank Sinatra (I love you, I love you Frank!), Whitney houston and Elvis.
George was ok. He looked alike and did a good job on the impersonator but something was missing. Frank Sinatra is my favorite singer of all times and this one was also good: his body posture and mannerisms were on point. Great voice too, but he didn't sing "fly me to the moon" which kinda broke my heart. Elbow was the last one on stage and he was fantastic. I mean, the guy can shake. I never saw the real one perform but I could easily think the guy on stage was the real deal. Great voice, amazing stage presence and personality. Again, great moves :)
But to me, the star of the night was the Whitney's impersonator. Well, I cried. Twice. I mean, seriously, God bless that girls voice. She didn't just look alike, but she sounded like the real deal! I cried, cried and cried more with her heartfelt and spectacular performance.
Whomever you are girl, good job. You're amazing!
I got the ticket for free for being a diamond member at the hotel I stayed so I don't know how much tickets are. But I would have paid anyways if needed be. I felt like I was transported to a different era, which I'm pretty sure it's actually where I belong!
