This zoo gets you up close to their animals as cages and exhibits are very close to the patrons. It's a large zoo with a lot of things to see and do. The ground is clay dirt so avoid sandals. They don't have an elephant, but a good variety of animals and reptiles. Also a good petting area, feeding of giraffes, ducks, stingrays, penguins and a train, sky ride, play area, flume ride and carousel - a variety of hands-on things to do. I loved their screaming monkeys! There's an aquarium, too. The train takes you right into the exhibits with nothing between you and them. Tip...I would avoid the zoo's restaurant as the hot dogs looked grey. Go to the BBQ place on property. I liked this zoo because the animals have large areas to live and roam. I would definitely visit again.
