I'm new to BY Chandler and I've gotta say, I'm a huge fan.
Here's why:
Everyone who works there has been super friendly and laid back. The studio is nice and new. The instructors offer modifications on some of the poses for folks who are injured or can't quite get into some of the poses. That is really important for me as a runner who struggles with knee issues from time to time. The instructors will take a few minutes after class to show you the proper way to get into a pose if you need it. Lastly, the locker room ROCKS!
I attended some classes at the BY student in Tempe last year and I will be honest. Part of the reason I hated going there and stopped going (besides the location not being convenient for me) was because the locker room was SO tiny and squished that you were stumbling over each other if you were changing or showering. And I definitely wanted to shower before driving back to Gilbert!
I've read a lot about the great health benefits that BY offers and I am super excited to move forward with making this a part of my overall self-care routine...particularly as I get back to running. I am currently nursing a plantar fasciitis injury and I am looking forward to seeing if BY helps me with the healing process.
