| - Just left the nail salon. And although the over all experience was not horrible at all, SOLELY due to the fact that the women working here are very friendly and try to maintain their level If professionalism.
My rating is a reflection
Of the overall experience, which includes the interior (decor, vibe, energy etc.) and the quality of the work and material.
Today I had a new bio gel new set of nails, with shellac, and my toes polish changed. The grand total came up To over $90!
The first impression, when I was shown the colour selection of the shellac was poor, the colours were so very old and faded, with a yellowing around the liter colours, and when I made attempts to chose the colours, when it was presented to me, the colours were completely different. I mean my first choice was something that looked like a dark seaweed. Almost black, and came to be a pure blue!
I went with the a regular OPI colour for my toes, the application was not bad but also not great, a bit messy. Although the lady was trying very hard... To clean it up and touch it up... Almost as if she struggled!
But not worth the $12 instead of the usual $10 as other places charge. Not like they
Offer shaping, got towel or anything...
My nails, to remove the old gel cost $5, and the new set of bio was $40. The shellac colour was an extra $10!
She worked very hard and was detailed at applying it, which I appreciated and had a easy going personality. When the shellac colour was applied, under the lite it started getting weird patterns and texture as if I rested my Wet nails over their towel, which I was very careful with and can guarantee I didn't touch anything, perhaps the polish was as old as their samples that threw me off in the first place.
After the second coat it seemed to be covered, but after the top coat and the oil at the end the strange pattern started to show through..:: the colour was also not applied in a neat way, too far and jagged around the cuticle. I was also unhappy with the shape and that the tips were all slightly angled in different directions. (Which can somewhat be seen in my pictures.)
After a 2 hour
Long appointment and a poor finale I was drained.
I also made some questions about the lash extensions they claim to do there, they were not able to answer my questions, and basically said they would have to contact the girl and I have to call back tot the answers, I asked for her number or maybe she could call me, they told me. I found it odd and voiced it, why wouldn't I speak directly to the person, they said it was there policy....
So over all I was not happy with the final workmanship, the place is gloomy and outdated. And the prices certainly
Don't reflect workmanship.
I strongly
Doubt I will return for round 2!
I also found it strange that they change different amount of tax, depending which source of payment you will be making.
For example: debit is 13% and visa is 16% tax!
My other concern is, I chose this place based on their reviews I found on Facebook! (Which unfortunately there were none on Yelp. And every single person had rated them 5 stars... After my experience I have connected the dots. And feel it was a Complete misrepresentation. And misleading with false ratings and reviews.
