  • The Good - Cheapest SUV rental rate: $25 per day (Hyundai Sante Fe) - Returning the car was quick and easy The Bad - Phoenix has high taxes on car rentals (the SUV was $100 for 4 days with $60 in taxes) - The car windows were dirty The Ugly - The counter person was BRUTAL. I had to say "no" four times each to pre-paying for gas and refusing supplemental insurance. I felt like I was talking to a two year old: "But why?" "Why?" "Why???" - My original reservation was for a Jeep Cherokee, which changed to a Dodge Journey, and finally evolved into a Hyundai Sante Fe. - I originally wanted a Jeep Wrangler, which they had in stock. They wanted to charge me an additional $200....which changed to an additional $100....which changed to an additional $80. No thanks.
