| - I wanted to freshen up my skin as I have some darker red marks and clogged pores. I booked a micro with silk peel and when the aesthetician (Nellie) saw my skin, she recommended a deep cleanse facial instead (which was cheaper) as she thought it would be better for my blackheads. I took her advice and had an amazing experience! She took her time, had very good massaging technique, and the products she used (don't know the brand) made an immediate difference in my skin. Even though she did some extractions, my skin wasn't red or irritated at all (something I was really worried about as I want to leave a spa looking better not worse!)
As for the overall atmosphere of the spa, it's nice, but maybe has that 'small town' feel (when I was in the waiting area, there was a lady in a room who was gabbing so loud w/ her client I could hear their entire convo talking about a "scammer"). Also, for some reason they sell swimwear and bras in the front which kind of gives the place a cheaper, cluttered feel. However, the room I was in was beautiful, with a tiled shower, dim lights, and your typical spa music. The beds are heated and super relaxing especially since I was a little sore from a yoga class the night before.
Overall, I'm glad there's a spa so close to home (I usually go to TO to have treatments done), and I recommend Nellie as she seems very knowledgeable and doesn't push further products and treatments on you as you're trying to relax.
