| - On my vacation to Las Vegas, we got offered free tickets for a vegas show and buffet (we just pay the taxes) if we go to a "two hour" hotel tour here. So me and my boyfriend go and guess what? We were there for over 8 hours. They feed you a little plate of breakfast and then make you stay for this presentation, meanwhile the entire time you are constantly surrounded by savvy salesmen asking you many questions about how you vacation. They keep your attention fascinated by this promise being able to vacation everywhere in the world as long as you make a contract with them. I didn't want to do it because the average contract time share plan can cost around 20,000 and more. They kept coming back and forth with us to different cheaper plans (of course not as many benefits) and never leaving us alone for more than 3 minuets. The sales representatives are very charming and charismatic, telling us stories of their travels and showing pictures of all the places they been. They kept saying "shake my hand! Lets welcome you to the family!" After hours of talk and no food except for the one little plate of breakfast we had, constant pressure and manipulation, we agreed to do this contract. I had a bad feeling in my gut the whole time but the entire environment was very celebratory. They brought out drinks and free kindle pad gift, even offer us a limousine drive. It took forever to draw up our contracts and they made us sign in a room that had cameras on us. There was never a moment alone to discuss this in detail with me and my boyfriend. The sales man and woman kept coming into the room and constantly making conversation to distract us from realizing what a huge mistake we were making. In the whole 8 hours they never once mentioned cancellation policy. They said this offer is only today, we cant get the full benefits if we decide later. After leaving that place, I couldn't believe how stupid we were to do this. We didn't even get a chance to look up reviews online before signing our life away. The reviews online showed me just how bad this really was. I had a panic attack, my chest hurt all night from the stress, this was suppose to be our vacation and we wasted an entire day being swindled by these very talented salesmen. Thankfully we came to our senses and the next day came to cancel our contract since we were within the 5 day cancellation policy. The man who gave us forms to fill out was extremely rude to us. No longer were we treated the way we were yesterday. It was like a 180 degree turn of attitude from the day before. We requested a second form so we can also send the form to their company as stated on the contract. This man would not even give us one more piece of paper. I even returned the kindle they gave us because we want nothing more to do with them. I feel cheated and so stupid. But lesson learned, and I just want to share this experience so others wont go through what I went through.
