  • Excellent experience. Took my car here for a competitive quote for front brake repair. Earnhardt Honda told me I had only 2mm left on my front brake pads and they recommended immediate replacement. Earnhardt said they would cut the rotors and replace the pads for $269. Ouch! I was hoping to get off a little cheaper on the repair- so I went to Litchfield based upon a recommendation. After Litchfield inspected my car I was expecting to hear the old "Well, we recommend you replace the rotors along with the brake pads" line that I'm used to hearing from garage mechanic shops. When the mechanic came out to talk to me I was all prepared for the upsell. To my surprise, he said "Your brakes are fine. You have at least another 10-12k left on these pads. They're at 5mm" I then asked about the belts and fluid- since Earnhardt told me those needed replacing too. The mechanic went back out to the garage and came back in 10 mins and told me everything was fine. I had at least another 40-50k miles on those items, too. Oh, the cost for all this. ZERO! NADA! The only cost was one hour of time and the $2 in gas to get to the shop and back. I'm only going to Litchfield for all my repair needs from now on. Honesty and quality work are the 2 highest items on my list when it comes to car repair. Great job, Litchfield Auto!
